Spectra (Dyneema) Lines Model
Spectra is made of UHMWP or Dyneema yarn. This fiber is five times stronger than steel and offers a unique combination of properties.

Spectra (Dyneema) Lines Features
Advantages：
- High strength-to-weight ratio – Extremely strong for its small diameter, keeping total line drag and weight low.
- Low stretch – Provides very stable trim initially, supporting precise handling and performance.
- Abrasion resistance – Surface is smooth and resistant to wear, allowing clean movement through pulleys and links.
- Moisture resistance – Does not absorb water, so performance remains consistent in wet conditions.
Disadvantages:
- Creep (permanent stretch) – Under constant load, lines slowly elongate, causing trim changes over time.
- UV degradation – Sensitive to long-term sunlight exposure, leading to weakening if not replaced regularly.
- Inspection difficulty – Can appear intact externally even when fibers are weakened internally.
- Shorter lifespan in heavy use – Needs more frequent retrimming or replacement compared to Dacron.
